GVC Exam – Protocol and Rules

Please ensure that you read this fully and thoroughly before you take your examination. It is your responsibility to ensure you understand, are familiar with and adhere to the rules and protocols set out below.  Failure to comply with any of the procedures outlined in this document may result in your exam being terminated or voided.

Preparing to take the exam

  1. You must ensure that you have your Comprobo user login information with you – user ID and password
  2. You must not be interrupted throughout your exam. We suggest you consider attaching a ‘Do Not Enter – Exam In Progress’ sign on the outside of the door.
  3. Your mobile phone and any other mobile device should be turned off and put out of reach
  4. No smartwatches are allowed.
  5. You must not use or wear headphones or headsets of any kind during any test. if you normally wear a hearing aid, please contact The UAV Academy prior to taking the exam
  6. You must be alone in the room for the duration of the examination. If anyone enters the room whilst you are taking your exam the exam will be voided.
  7. Please make sure your room/space is private and well lit.
  8. Ensure that your desk/table is clear. The only items allowed to be on your desk for this exam are your means of identification, a bottle of water and the laptop or desktop computer (with single screen or monitor) being used for the exam.
  9. No comfort break is allowed, so please ensure that you go to the toilet before you start the examination
  10. Please close down all applications on your computer other than the browser you will be using to take the exam. You should also ensure that you have only one browser window and tab open.

During your exam

  1. You must not use or wear headphones or headsets of any kind during any test. if you normally wear a hearing aid, please contact The UAV Academy prior to taking the exam
  2. You will be asked to use your webcam to video your desktop and a 360° view of the room
  3. You will also be asked to use your webcam to tae a picture of yourself before you start the exam and again when you have completed the exam
  4. You will be continuously monitored using multiple technologies throughout the test and recorded as part of the verification process
  5. You may not move around during the exam – i.e. no wandering around the room.
  6. You need to remain in the webcam viewing area at all times.
  7. Ensure that you do not block the webcam for any reason.
  8. If you attempt to access another browser tab or application this will be detected and the examination will be terminated and voided.

If your examination is terminated or voided for any reason you will have to request a re-sit.

A fee of £50 (including VAT) is charged for any additional examination attempt.
