Training Administrator Vacancy – POSITION NOW FILLED

Hartham ParkThe UAV Academy is a Civil Aviation Authority approved ‘National Qualified Entity’ and in that capacity we train and assess people and organisations wishing to operate drones commercially. As a result of rapid growth in the last six months we now need to recruit someone to fill a key role in this rapidly growing, exciting and dynamic industry.

The successful candidate will will need to share our values of maintaining quality and standards whilst delivering exceptional customer service. Candidates will need to have a experience and competence in working with computer and cloud-based IT systems. They will need to be experience and knowledgeable working with office productivity systems such as word processing and spreadsheets. Training will be given on the cloud based management and communications systems we use to manage our business.

Job Role: Training Administrator

Remuneration: £20k PA + Bonus – pro-rata for reduced hours

Contract Term: Permanent

Contract Hours: Between 30 and 40 Per Week. Flexible

Location: Hartham Park, Corsham, Wiltshire

Outline of Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing and administering our multi-part training courses on an ongoing basis. The role will involve a multitude of tasks including such things as posting of course learning material; taking calls from candidates booked on to course; making amendments to candidates’ bookings; managing candidates’ online learning and so on. The list of duties would include (but not be limited to):

  • Answering inbound telephone calls
  • Handling enquiries from new and existing candidates
  • Handling new bookings by telephone
  • Managing alterations to bookings
  • Business partner administration and liaison
  • Booking Instructors and training venues
  • Contacting candidates at various stages of the learning process
  • Maintaining training records
  • Entering purchase receipts into accounts system
  • Liaising with the Civil Aviation Authority

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Someone able to communicate with new and existing customers and partners in a confident and friendly way. You will also need to be extremely well organised, and be able to adapt to a very dynamic working environment. We need a self-starter, someone prepared to use their initiative and who will take control of and strive to improve our processes and procedures to help drive efficiency. We will look for someone that has the potential to grow with our business and take on more responsibilities. Ideally, we are looking for someone who will in time be able to run the business on a day-to-day basis with minimal supervision. Finally, you will need to comfortable to work alone on occasions. We are a small and dispersed team, so there will often be times when you are the only person in the office.

What to expect

Initially you will be asked to meet with the UK Head of Training. All candidates will be assessed on personality and characteristics, aptitude, attitude, and knowledge. You can expect to be asked questions on general knowledge and business administration topics, including office administration systems.

The successful candidate will be work at our Hartham Park administration office, and will be required to attend a training course at a suitable date and location, which will also require around 20-30 hours of study.
