This course covers the syllabus set out by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. Its primary objective is to ensure that you understand how to safely fly your Unmanned Aircraft in built-up areas and in proximity to uninvolved persons. The A2 CofC course will expand your understanding of the technical and operational mitigations for ground risk, i.e. the risk of a person being struck by the unmanned aircraft.
When you complete a topic you will be able to move on to the next one. At the end of each lesson, there is a quiz which will help prepare you for the formal examination. You will not be able to take the quiz until you have completed all the topics in the lesson. You are able to take the quiz as often as you like. Once you have completed all three theory lessons you can take the mock exam. Please do not take the mock exam until you have completed all three lessons. When you feel ready you will submit a request form so that we can set you up to take the formal A2 CofC examination online.
Please download and review the documents in the Materials Tab. These documents are important background reading and will help you better understand the content of this course. You will not be directly examined on the contents of these documents.
